Why support his activities

A teacher –and a person in general– cannot be separated from what they do. That's why supporting Lama Norbu is a way of directly supporting all the activities he drives and sustains. Although he insists on thinking collectively and valuing the team behind these endeavours, everything we're about to share would be much harder, if not impossible, without him. For years, Lama Norbu has offered his teaching, his accompaniment and his care with generosity and commitment. He decided to rely solely on the donations he receives from those who believe in his work. That is why we have launched this initiative so that anyone who values his activities can support him with a direct donation.

Collaborating with Lama Norbu means sustaining a labour that makes possible the transmission of the Buddhadharma and many of the initiatives that arise around Casa Virupa.

By giving your support to Lama Norbu you are making possible…

  • A transmission of Buddhism in the West faithful to the tradition yet open to new languages and codes that reach our hearts.
  • A Dharma community like Casa Virupa: a living network of friends, family, students and volunteers.
  • A core of people dedicated to sustaining a Dharma centre, living in community with doors open to anyone who wishes to come closer.
  • Someone who grounds the Buddha's teaching in your life with honesty, respect and responsibility, outside transactional dynamics.
  • A Buddhism that engages with the great issues of our time: feminism, class, racism, anti-speciesism, non-violence and more habitable ways of living.
  • A Casa Virupa meditation course that changes many people's lives.
  • The podcast you're a fan of, Diálogos de Virupa.
  • That your practice of generosity transforms your mind and makes it wider, more joyful and more inspired.
  • A spiritual reference who builds bonds based on respect, trust and learning.
  • Support for the resident community at Casa Virupa: an affective, work, family and child-rearing alternative that has been sustaining itself and inspiring others for ten years.
  • A Dharma centre that offers residencies in thought and art, meditation training and communal living at Can Bordoi.
  • The existence of Casa Virupa in Llinars del Vallès, a place wherein, since 2025, he leads a spiritual, cultural and social initiative.
  • And the list goes on.
So if you value any of what we've listed or your own reasons that we haven't thought of –and we'd love you to share them– consider making a donation so that all these activities can stay afloat and those yet to come can see the light.

Thank you so much!
